Edward Reyes first learned about Quantum Leap from the man himself. Gary Keller (virtually) joined the staff at Just in Time for Foster Youth, where Edward works as a Youth Outreach Coordinator in San Diego, to talk about how QL principles could help the young people they serve, and how the 411 could be a force for good in their lives.
After the presentation, Edward chatted with volunteer and KW Next Gen instructor Scott Lebhar about how he could sign up for events. After that, he applied for coaching and later received a Fund My Mission Scholarship to attend QL Summit.
“The best lesson I learned from KW Next Gen was to believe in myself. The belief that you can set these goals and actually achieve them.”
Brewing Up the Future
Edward’s not just a business guy, he’s also passionate about brewing and infusing his Mexican culture and flavors into a tasty beverage. He has his sights set on Germany and hopes to land an internship or a Fund My Mission scholarship that will have him brewing Mexican-inspired beer in the heart of Oktoberfest.
“This organization is willing to invest in your dreams, in your goals… why shouldn’t I believe in myself the way they believe in me, right?”
During his free time, Edward enjoys camping, getting lost in nature, fishing, photography, and exploring what he calls “supposedly haunted places” in California.
