Story of Impact: Nick Skibinski

"The mission for my life is to help inspire others to reach their greatest potential through leading and coaching."

Connecting to quantum leap

At 28 years old, Nick Skibinski is already a veteran of the Quantum Leap material.

Fresh out of high school and back from Air Force Bootcamp, he was feeling a bit directionless. It was then that he attended his first Quantum Leap class at just 19.

Admittedly, at such a young age, the principles took awhile to embrace. In the meantime he went off to college and completed a degree in Finance, even securing a job early on as a Financial Advisor.

But something didn’t feel right.

It was around that time Nick made a decision to revisit Quantum Leap… and he began to recognize its power.

As Nick puts it, before rediscovering QL, he struggled with stagnation, procrastination, and unclear goals.

Unlocking the power of Quantum Leap changed that.

“QL brings solutions. It gives you purpose, a GPS for your life, and accountability—whether from a coach or a partner—to follow the plan you created.”

His real turning point came in 2020, when he joined John Newman’s real estate team and attended his first QL Summit with Gary Keller. That experience was his true introduction to the larger world of KW Next Gen—a movement far bigger than the class itself.

“That was when I met my first master teacher,” he recalls. “It opened my eyes to what KW Next Gen really is.”

Finding His Path Through Coaching & Milestones

From there, Nick stepped fully into business operations, leaning on QL tools like the GPS and 411 to map out his future. With that clarity, he founded OPCON, a coaching and consulting company rooted entirely in the principles he learned through Quantum Leap.

Nick’s growth continued as he:

  • Attended the 2021 QL Summit
  • Became a QL Summit Student Leader
  • Developed into a QL Instructor
  • Used his Fund My Mission Scholarship to become a certified NLP Master Practitioner

“My coach helped me gain clarity on my GPS every month. I could see myself getting closer to my one-year goals and adjusting my 411 with intention.”

the value of the Quantum Leap material

As Nick puts it, QL “is a workshop designed to help you define your North Star—your mission. QL gives you direction, and if you don’t have direction yet, it gives you the framework to create it.”

To friends, Nick describes it as either:

  • A personal development amplifier for people already focused on growth, or
  • A productivity spark for those needing clarity, purpose, or a roadmap.

He has a message for those considering making the leap into Quantum Leap and KW Next Gen:

“If you’re unsure, the answer is simple: yes—go, now. Start with the QL Summit with Gary Keller. Then dive into everything available. You get six free coaching sessions right after QL. Then the Fund My Mission Scholarship—$10,000 to pursue the thing you’re passionate about.

Once people hear about these opportunities, it’s a no-brainer. The only issue is awareness. We just have to spread the word.”

gratitude for those that make it all possible

As he reflects on his journey through Quantum Leap with KW Next Gen, Nick has the utmost gratitude for those that make this material possible: the donors.

“I wish I could meet every donor personally. I’d tell them: thank you for the opportunity.

This has drastically changed my life. And as a QL Instructor, I’ve seen the ripple effect—the compounding impact—of what you’ve made possible.

You are the first domino in a chain reaction that helps young people discover their purpose, build their future, and then go help others do the same.”

the path forward

Nick is in an exciting season of growth and leveraging QL to juggle multiple initiatives. He and a friend co-founded Chuga Shilajit, a supplement company that’s experiencing its own “hockey stick” moment.

They’ve expanded from 3 products to more than 15—a milestone Nick has been preparing for through disciplined planning and QL tools.

“There’s a compound effect happening,” he says. “We’ve built systems, social momentum, influencer partnerships—now we get to watch the results take shape.”

We can’t wait to see where your path takes you next, Nick!
