Scholarship Highlight: Breaking the Cycle of Poverty

This Fund My Mission scholarship winner is ready to break the generational cycle of poverty in families! We are proud to support young adults like Laura!

Laura Henriquez grew up in a single-parent household in which her mom relied on government assistance to raise her four children. For a long time, the family held the belief that they couldn’t be self-sufficient.

But Laura is helping to change all that.

Learning to Align Your Goals

Laura wants to break the cycle and challenge people who share similar backgrounds to learn how to empower themselves through owning property and investing in real estate. She’s helping people in her community to build generation wealth and leave a lasting legacy for years to come. After taking her first QL course through KWKC, Laura applied for coaching. She was matched with a KW MAPS coach who helped her learn to align her actions to her goals.
“The biggest thing I learned is: your goals have to align with your calendar. They have to align with your activity, and you have to break them down into measurable action steps and then you’ll see results.” —Laura Henriquez

A Scholarship to Fund Her Mission

After coaching, Laura applied for a KWKC Fund My Mission scholarship. We were thrilled to award her the funds for an 8-week Dale Carnegie course. The training she received there will help fulfill her mission by providing fundamental communications, networking, and real estate skills.
“Quantum Leap classes changed my business. Last year, I only did 4 deals, and this year I’ve done 17.” —Laura Henriquez
We’re proud to support such enterprising young adults, and we can’t wait to see what Laura does in the future!
