From Potential to Purpose
Michelle Fokam was already carrying a full load.
She works full time at a law firm. She trains and competes as a professional track and field athlete. And in the last year, she began competing internationally for Team Cameroon—a country that is deeply near and dear to her heart.
When Michelle first encountered KW Next Gen, she was in the middle of a major transition and searching for clarity around what came next.
A Keller Williams Realtor, Myrna Harrison, encouraged Michelle to get involved after seeing the impact the program had on her own son. At the time, Michelle was seeking personal growth and support during a season of change—and she was open to tools that could help her move forward with more intention.
Seeing Her Time - and Herself - More Clearly
One of Michelle’s first experiences with KW Next Gen was Maximize Your Potential, taught by Kaitlyn Pennington.
What stood out wasn’t motivation—it was awareness.
By closely examining how she spent her time each day, Michelle realized that while she was doing many things well, there were also habits and distractions that weren’t actually serving her goals. She could see her discipline—but also how much capacity she still had to grow.
That experience opened the door to deeper work through Quantum Leap.
As Michelle continued engaging with Quantum Leap, she experienced a realization that would shape everything that followed: she recognized that she had been holding herself back mentally.
That insight wasn’t easy.
Michelle began to see that many of her goals—whether related to athletics, personal life, or the future—felt overwhelming not because they were unrealistic, but because they were too vague. There was no clear plan or structure behind them.
Quantum Leap helped her understand that clarity and intentionality were missing—and that without them, even meaningful goals can feel heavy and unmanageable.
Three Months of Coaching - and the Structure She Needed
With that realization in place, Michelle applied for Quantum Leap coaching and began a three-month, one-on-one coaching experience with Brett.
Coaching became the space where insight turned into action.
Together, they worked on breaking down Michelle’s goals into practical steps and adding structure to how she moved forward. One tool, in particular, became foundational: the GPS.
By identifying one priority, three supporting priorities, and five daily actions, Michelle gained a framework she could use across every area of her life. Goals no longer felt abstract—they became actionable.
She still uses the GPS today.
Beyond tools, Brett helped Michelle think differently. He encouraged her to look beyond the obvious, sharpen her skills, and explore new approaches—especially when it came to one of her long-term goals: creating a track and field camp in Cameroon.
Rather than simply replicating what she had seen others do, coaching helped her approach that vision with more creativity and intention.
Looking Ahead: Competing, Giving Back, and Inspiring the Next Generation
As Michelle looks ahead to her next track and field season, she’s excited not only about competing for Cameroon, but also about deepening her connection to the country and community she hopes to serve.
Michelle’s growth didn’t happen by accident.
It happened because donors made it possible for young adults to access Quantum Leap, experienced instructors, and dedicated coaches—along with the time and tools to reflect, plan, and grow.
Michelle says it simply:
“Thank you for changing the youth—and thank you for changing me.”
Because of donor support, Michelle gained clarity, structure, and confidence she continues to carry forward—into competition, into community, and into the future she’s building.
